• Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public spaces
• Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment and supplies
• Report maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department
• Collaborate with front desk and maintenance staff to coordinate guest requests and room turnovers
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests
• Follow health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Uphold privacy and security standards for guests
• Assist in deep cleaning tasks and special projects as needed

Comprising of the Historic Main Inn, the East and West Plazas as well as the standalone Garden Apartment, the Colonial Inn provides guests with clean, comfortable rooms in a unique, historic, guest-centered environment, serving as home away from home for families and individuals. Being the sole hotel within Harbor Springs, we are also a choice destination for weddings and other milestone events.

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team and contribute to the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel rooms. As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience through impeccable room presentation and cleanliness. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Requirements and Skills

• Previous experience as a Hotel Housekeeper or in a similar role is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Initiative to identify and address cleaning needs proactively
• Commitment to maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for guest

$20 to $22 per hour, based on experience
