Job summary

Best-Western Premier, the Central Hotel is seeking a dedicated room attendant to maintain guest rooms to high cleanliness standards and ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

You will clean rooms and corridors, stock and organize cleaning carts, replace amenities, inspect locks for safety, and report maintenance needs, all while presenting a professional, friendly demeanor and a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning principles, products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, reaching overhead and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Good communication with guests and associates.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of our guests by maintaining guest privacy at all times.
• Cleans guest rooms and corridors to provide a safe and clean experience for all guests and team members.
• Strips beds upon checkout and places dirty linen inside the room.
• Prepares, and maintains, cleaning carts in a neat and orderly manner to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Cleans windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in guest rooms and hallways; washes shower walls and tubs, cleans toilets and stall walls.
• Replaces all terry, linen, and guest room amenities when cleaning a departure.
• Provides fresh terry, linen, and guest room amenities when servicing a stayover.
• Visually inspects closet for cleanliness, wipes closet doors, handles, and shelves and restocks supplies.
• Vacuum s guest rooms during stayovers or departures and ensures hallways are vacuumed too.
• Inspects door and window locks to ensure guest safety and reports any unsecured or unsafe conditions.
• Completes work orders or notifies a supervisor of maintenance needs in a guest room or public area.
• Maintains a professional, friendly, and positive demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Visually inspects closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies (e.g., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows).
• Vacuums guest rooms while servicing a stayover, or departure, and ensures hallway leading to guest rooms is also vacuumed accordingly.
• Inspects door and window locks to ensure guest safety. Immediately reports an unsecured or unsafe condition to support the safety, and well-being of our guests, and team members.
• Completes work orders, or notifies a supervisor, of maintenance needs in a guest room or public area.
• Maintains a professional, friendly, and positive demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighting up to 100 lbs. Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
