Job summary

Ko’a Kea Resort on Poipu Beach – Kauai is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to create a memorable dining experience. You will greet guests, seat them, hand menus, and maintain the host stand, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations with attentive service.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork. This is a part-time position offering a competitive hourly wage and full hospitality benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Ability to actively listen and communicate effectively in loud environments.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced position with constant guest interaction.
• OpenTable experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and seat them, providing menus and general restaurant information.
• Maintain the host stand and lobby area; manage wait lists and communicate wait times.
• Check-in guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Communicate allergies or celebrations to the F&B team and assist guests as needed.
• Respond to guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous, timely manner.
• Answer phone calls and manage reservations using OpenTable and voicemails.
