Job summary

Concord Hospitality in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Sales & Catering Manager to collaborate with Sales and Event Management to create client experiences from initial contact to post-event follow-up. This on-site role drives revenue and helps maintain the property’s leading status in Dayton.

You will win new business, manage accounts, forecast revenue, and coordinate with F&B, AV, and meeting spaces to deliver results for clients and the hotel.

Qualifications

• Managing group/catering sales in a hotel environment.
• 1 year: Managing accounts and handling group/catering sales in a hotel environment
• Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close business
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with Marriott brand systems (CI/TY, SFAWeb, etc.)
• 3 years: Hotel Sales experience, specifically within the group segments and catered events
• Background in a lifestyle or full-service hotel environment, preferably Marriott brands
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue goals in previous sales roles.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, manage, and grow client accounts, focusing on new business development and expansion of existing partnerships.
• Deliver exceptional service to internal and external partners with professionalism and urgency.
• Maintain clear, accurate communication regarding all event and group details, including room blocks, meeting space, and billing.
• Attend client events, site visits, and industry functions to strengthen relationships.
• Accurately forecast group room and F&B revenue, aligning with hotel strategies and goals.
• Gain working knowledge of hotel offerings, including F&B, meeting space, AV, and event logistics.
• Meet and exceed individual sales activity and revenue targets.
• Use sales systems and tools to track progress, manage accounts, and support data-driven decisions.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and initiatives to support department success.
• Embodies an entrepreneurial spirit—identifying opportunities and acting in the property's best interest.
