Job summary

The Homewood Suites Tuscaloosa, managed by Vista Host Management & Development Company, seeks a General Manager to lead all hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, and maximize profitability. You will oversee guest services, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, sales, and revenue strategies.

The role requires strategic leadership across departments, partnership with ownership, and a focus on brand standards, budgeting, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive guest satisfaction and financial performance.
• Experience with hotel KPIs (Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, CPOR).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operations in accordance with SOPs and service standards.
• Lead capital projects, renovations, brand enhancements, and service improvements.
• Manage profitability, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met.
• Make decisions aligning with ownership interests and set short- and long-term goals.
• Implement improvement actions and cost-saving measures.
• Analyze P&L statements and strategies to boost financial performance.
• Maximize room yield and revenue through effective sales and yield management.
• Procure supplies and negotiate vendor contracts for services.
• Address guest complaints and ensure service recovery procedures.
• Conduct regular briefings with department heads and lead staff development.
• Provide coaching and leadership to the hotel team; drive results.
• Respond to audits and implement continual improvements.
