This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a hospitality professional who combines refined service standards, disciplined operational execution, and a strong appreciation for luxury lifestyle hospitality.

Based on property in Jackson, Wyoming, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance, culture, guest experience, and long-term stewardship of Faraway Jackson Hole. The successful candidate will bring a visible, hands-on leadership style and the ability to balance exceptional guest experiences with financial accountability, team development, and brand integrity.

About Collared Martin Hospitality

Established in January 2025, Collared Martin Hospitality operates the Faraway brand alongside a curated collection of independent lifestyle and luxury boutique hotels, restaurants, and nightlife destinations across Blue Flag Capital’s award-winning hospitality portfolio.

Our approach is grounded in connection, design, authenticity, and excellence. We create distinctive destinations that pair thoughtful design, local character, and intuitive service with a refined yet relaxed sense of hospitality. Faraway Hotels are designed to feel elevated, personal, and deeply connected to their surroundings.

The Role

The General Manager is the senior on-property leader for Faraway Jackson Hole and will oversee all aspects of resort operations, including Rooms, Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering and Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Spa/Wellness, Security, outdoor spaces, and resort experiences.

This leader will own property-level financial performance, operational standards, team engagement, guest satisfaction, capital planning, and execution of the hotel’s strategic priorities. The General Manager will also serve as a critical on-site partner to ownership, corporate leadership, development teams, and contractors during construction, renovation, transition, and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Property Leadership & Financial Performance
  • Establish and execute property strategies aligned with Faraway brand standards, ownership objectives, portfolio priorities, and market opportunity.
  • Lead annual business planning, budgets, forecasts, labor strategy, capital planning, expense management, procurement, and profitability performance.
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Food & Beverage, and Brand teams to optimize rooms revenue, outlet performance, events, experiences, and ancillary revenue.
  • Communicate property performance, key risks, opportunities, and operating priorities clearly to ownership, corporate leadership, and the hotel leadership team.
  • Create a consistent cadence of reporting, accountability, and action planning across the operation.
Operations, Brand & Guest Experience
  • Ensure polished and seamless daily execution across all resort departments, with a focus on service, safety, cleanliness, maintenance, communication, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the hotel, engaging directly with guests and associates while leading by example.
  • Conduct regular property walks to ensure guestrooms, public spaces, outlets, exterior areas, and back-of-house operations consistently meet Faraway’s design, ambiance, and quality standards.
  • Lead VIP and high-profile guest experiences, oversee service recovery, and use guest feedback to improve the overall guest journey.
  • Refine SOPs, service standards, quality-assurance practices, seasonal operating plans, and guest-facing procedures.
  • Guide programming, amenities, local partnerships, and experiential offerings that reflect the Jackson Hole setting and reinforce the Faraway brand.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing property leadership team.
  • Foster a professional, collaborative, guest-first culture defined by accountability, thoughtful communication, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Lead talent planning, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and leadership development in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Develop staffing models and schedules aligned with occupancy, seasonality, group activity, outlet demand, and service expectations.
  • Ensure the team is fully prepared for peak winter and summer periods, holidays, special events, and operational transitions.
  • Serve as the principal on-site operational liaison for ownership, corporate leadership, development partners, and contractors during construction, renovation, and capital projects.
  • Protect the physical asset through preventative maintenance, repairs, lifecycle planning, equipment replacement, and appropriate capital prioritization.
  • Ensure newly completed or renovated areas are fully equipped, operationally tested, appropriately staffed, and aligned with brand standards prior to guest use.
  • Maintain robust safety, security, emergency response, incident-management, and business-continuity protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable permits, licenses, health and safety requirements, employment practices, accessibility standards, privacy obligations, and operational regulations.
Commercial & Community Leadership
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Food & Beverage, Finance and Brand teams to optimize rooms revenue, outlet performance, events, experiences, and ancillary revenue.
  • Represent Faraway Jackson Hole within the local community, tourism organizations, hospitality networks, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build relationships that support destination awareness, recruiting, community engagement, and the hotel’s commercial performance.
  • Champion effective use of hotel technology, reporting tools, and operating systems to strengthen service, productivity, communication, and financial controls.
  • Lead practical sustainability initiatives related to energy, water, waste, purchasing, and local sourcing while balancing business performance with guest expectations.

  • Previous experience as a General Manager, Resort Manager, Hotel Manager, Director of -------Operations, or comparable senior property leader strongly preferred.

  • Strong P&L leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, expense controls, procurement, capital planning, and performance analysis.
  • Proven success building and retaining strong teams in a seasonal, fast-paced operating environment.
  • Solid understanding of luxury service standards, hotel operations technology, revenue management, and resort operating rhythms.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with ownership, corporate teams, guests, associates, vendors, and community leaders.
  • A leadership style that is strategic, detail-oriented, collaborative, adaptable, and consistently guest-focused.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operational periods.
