POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

Oversees, directs, and manages property operations of a single property to assure optimum performance and continual improvement in the Key Performance Indicators (GREAT, REACH, DANCE, DRIVE, FRESH, Making it Right, Stop the Leaks, and Safewatch). Coordinates, directs, and manages the staff and daily hotel operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction, and efficiency while maintaining standards set by the company, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES

  1. Ensure associates are driving the company initiatives (GREAT, REACH, DANCE, DRIVE, FRESH, Making it Right, and Stop the Leaks).
  2. Promote a 100% commitment to providing the best experience for guests and employees.
  3. Maximize revenues and flow-through to GOP to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDA.
  4. Manage labor standards and expenses to achieve maximum profit.
  5. Monitor collection of guest balances, direct bill receivables, vendor commissions, and refunds.
  6. Participate in and monitor monthly inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring purchases are within budget and approved vendors.
  7. Work with the District Manager and Regional Director of Field Sales to manage sales activities and meet revenue goals.
  8. Identify potential business opportunities in the local market and maintain relationships with local companies and key contacts.
  9. Promote 100% guest satisfaction throughout the property and ensure all guest issues are resolved appropriately.
  10. Recruit, train, and communicate policies and procedures to staff, conducting regular meetings.
  11. Inspect and document property repairs, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
  12. Build solid client relationships within the district and with hotel staff and managers.
  13. Uphold and enforce ESH standards and policy compliance.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Adhere to employment laws and regulations.
  2. Perform duties across all aspects of hotel operations as needed.
  3. Manage an Assistant General Manager and oversee 8-10 employees.
  4. Review and monitor social media to ensure appropriate responses.

COMPENSATION PAY RANGES

Pay range varies by role, experience, and location. Candidates are not guaranteed to be at the high or low end of the range. The company complies with applicable wage laws.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least three years of hospitality management experience required; a 4-year degree is highly preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Basic computer skills including email, word processing, and spreadsheets. Ability to organize multiple projects, manage staff, and meet deadlines.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work involves outdoor conditions, exposure to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and frequent travel within the local community and occasionally between cities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

Proficiency in English, effective communication skills, and conversational Spanish are beneficial.

For Colorado, Washington, California: General Manager salary range is $53,000 - $76,000 annually.

For New York City (Whitestone): Salary range is $57,000 - $87,000 annually.
