Job summary

Bardstown Motor Lodge is seeking a part-time Hotel General Maintenance Technician to upkeep the property inside and out, respond to work orders, and assist with landscaping, pool maintenance, and cleaning supplies. The role requires knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and restaurant areas, plus painting, carpentry, and general repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Weekend availability.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Detail- and deadline-oriented with good customer service.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems (replacing bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches).
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems; service HVAC components and filters.
• Perform landscaping and general upkeep, including painting and carpentry.
• Carry out manual repairs as needed.
• Keep pool clean and safe, report unsafe conditions.
• Perform preventative maintenance across property including guest areas.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Bardstown Motor Lodge is looking for a Hotel General Maintenance Technician (PT)

The Hotel General Maintenance (PT) position entails maintaining the physical environment (inside/outside) for assigned buildings, executing work orders, performing landscaping duties, servicing the pool, and ensuring the building is clean and stocked with supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches)
• Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Provide preventative maintenance of HVAC systems (air handler coils cleaned, replace filters and belts)
• Conducts general upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows, etc.)
• Performs manual repairs when necessary.
• Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards.
• Reports any unsafe conditions to Management.
• Conducts preventative maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
