Job summary

Weyland Ventures Hospitality in Bardstown, KY, is seeking a Hotel General Maintenance Technician (PT) to upkeep the property inside and outside, handle work orders, and ensure rooms and common areas are clean and stocked.

You will service electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, pool maintenance, and report safety issues. Weekend availability encouraged; valid driver's license required. Salary is $17 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred but not required.
• Weekend availability.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use basic tools and appliances.
• Valid driver's license.
• Detail-oriented with good customer service.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems (bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches).
• Maintain heating, plumbing, and HVAC; replace filters/belts.
• Perform landscaping, painting, carpentry, and drywall tasks.
• Perform manual repairs as needed.
• Keep pool clean and safe.
• Report unsafe conditions to management.
• Conduct preventative maintenance across property (guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, etc.).
• Perform other duties Assigned.

Job description

Bardstown Motor Lodge is looking for a Hotel General Maintenance Technician (PT)

The Hotel General Maintenance (PT) position entails maintaining the physical environment (inside/outside) for assigned buildings, executing work orders, performing landscaping duties, servicing the pool, and ensuring the building is clean and stocked with supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches)
• Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Provide preventative maintenance of HVAC systems (air handler coils cleaned, replace filters and belts)
• Conducts general upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows, etc.)
• Performs manual repairs when necessary.
• Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards.
• Reports any unsafe conditions to Management.
• Conducts preventative maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or GED required.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred but not required.

• Strong knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Deadline, detail and customer service-oriented
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
