Job summary

Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe is seeking an experienced Front Office Supervisor to oversee check‑in, check‑out, and concierge activities, ensuring consistent, high‑quality guest service in line with the KEEP values.

You will supervise front desk teams, monitor service levels, and collaborate with other departments to resolve guest issues quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience with front desk operations and guest services.
  • Ability to train and supervise hotel front office staff.
  • Knowledge of hotel computer systems and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise front office activities including check‑in and concierge services.
  • Ensure quality guest service and brand standard adherence.
  • Monitor guest flow, reservations, and billing coordination.
  • Train and motivate staff to meet requirements and service levels.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and coordinate maintenance when needed.
  • Promote and explain benefits of the loyalty program to guests.

Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the activities of the hotel front office, which includes check‑in desk and concierge services, to ensure delivery of quality guest services. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the activities of the hotel front office, which includes check‑in desk and concierge services, to ensure delivery of quality guest services. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities
  • Assists in training, motivating and supervises staff to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established job requirements.
  • Supervises guest check‑in and check‑out process to ensure that procedures are followed and that guests are helped quickly and in a courteous manner in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitors operation efficiency and guest service levels in assigned areas to ensure that the needs of guests are being met and are consistent with the standards established by management; attends to guests’ complaints and requests as necessary.
  • Monitors equipment operations to ensure proper function; requests maintenance or revision as necessary.
  • Monitors daily room availability by type and rate and makes adjustments accordingly.
  • Interacts and assists other departments with guest room issues and billing issues.
  • Enroll and encourage customers to use the 24K Select Club card, which entails explaining how to use the card as well as the advantages of its use.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise all hotel front office.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all front desk operations.
  • Knowledge of hotel computer systems.
  • Must be guest oriented and have excellent customer service skills. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills essential as majority of work time is spent interacting with hotel guests and staff.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the local area and attractions is a plus.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Three years of progressive experience in hotel operations.

A bachelor's degree in hotel, business, or institutional management or related area is preferred.

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
  • Frequently stooping, reaching.
Work Environment
  • Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke‑filled environment.
  • Work with others in close spaces.
  • Moderate to high noise levels.
  • Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
Pay Range

USD $21.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.

Tipped Position
