Job summary

NoMo SoHo, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Director of Finance in New York City to provide ethical leadership, training and support to the finance team, and to safeguard owners' assets through accurate reporting and tight internal controls.

Reporting to the EC Team, you will drive profitability, ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and oversee budgeting, forecasting and all financial reporting for the property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive hotel accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree with Accounting/Finance concentration or higher.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance.
• Experience with annual budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
• Ability to lead and develop finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Act as Chief Business Officer to GM and EC Team and assess financial impact of decisions.
• Ensure timely notification of deviations from policies and control weaknesses.
• Manage cash flow, cash deposits, receivables and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses; analyze variances and advise.
• Coordinate forecasts and budgets with EC Team and department heads.
• Maintain internal controls across purchasing, payroll, inventories, and assets.
• Lead and develop finance staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare financial reports in line with IHR requirements.
