Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced Finance Associate in Baltimore to assist the Director of Finance with directing hotel financial activities and preparing GAAP-compliant reports. You will help safeguard assets and support accurate accounting across departments.

The role focuses on budgeting, control of expenses, accounts receivable, cash flow management, and ensuring timely financial statements for hotel and corporate leadership.

Qualifications

• One year experience in Hotel or Hospitality related Finance and Accounting.
• B.S. in Accounting required.
• Knowledge of Hotel Financial Statements and reconciliation of A and L accounts.
• Analytical approach to problems with high regard for detail and accuracy.
• Sound administrative and managerial skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance in directing financial activities and preparing reports.
• Perform all accounting functions as needed.
• Monitor and control departmental expenditures to stay within budget.
• Schedule personnel and coordinate Night Audit coverage.
• Produce financial statements within designated time frames for management and HEI corporate.
• Verify compliance with Finance SOP and participate in asset inventories.
