Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance for the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore. The role supports the Director of Finance, safeguarding assets and delivering timely financial reports in line with HEI standards.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Accounting with at least one year in hotel finance, demonstrates strong analytical and leadership skills, and is proficient in MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 1 year hospitality finance experience
• Knowledge of hotel financial statements and reconciliations
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience coaching and mentoring staff

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance in directing financial activities
• Schedule, monitor, and evaluate departmental expenditures to stay within budget
• Schedule accounting staff including Night Audit
• Manage Accounts Receivable and ensure aging and credit card processing
• Balance sheet reconciliation and adjust entries
• Identify, screen, and attract management candidates; train associates
• Perform other duties as assigned
