Job summary

Concord Hospitality is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Property Controller in daily, monthly, and annual accounting across an assigned group of hotels. The role reports to the Property Controller and covers accounts payable, bank reconciliations, tax returns, daily revenue postings, group insurance billing, and period-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a calculator and computer.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Ability to be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgments.
• Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of hotel information.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of invoices and postings in accounts payable; manage postings as directed by the Property Controller.
• Maintain current bank reconciliations and report variances.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly sales, use, and local occupancy tax returns as directed.
• Review and post daily revenue journals.
• Compute and process monthly group insurance billings.
• Assist with period-end financial reports and closings; generate end-of-period reports.
