Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a maintenance/housekeeping-support professional to maintain pool areas, indoor spaces, grounds, and stockrooms. The role emphasizes thorough cleaning, preventive duties, and timely reporting of issues to management.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and hospitality experience; an AA in mechanical/electrical/industrial maintenance is preferred. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience is preferred.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent is preferred.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs and entrance; weed removal.
• Check the maintenance log and fix problems when possible.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties.
• Report problems that require professional help to the manager on duty.
• Report issues affecting guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM.
• Keep storage area clean and secure; lock storage areas before clocking out.
• Ensure ample housekeeping supplies and linens on each floor.
• Verify exterior lights are functioning correctly.
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Maintain inventory in the stock room for at least two weeks; alert GM if supplies need ordering.
• Follow and complete the guest room inspection checklist for each room.
• Clean equipment, HVAC filters, windows and doors; perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Highschool Diploma/GED

Hospitality experience
