Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated maintenance professional to join our hospitality team. You will perform preventive maintenance, keep the property clean and safe, and report issues to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualified candidates have a High school Diploma/GED, hospitality experience, and the ability to work independently. An AA degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial maintenance is a plus; motivation and reliability are essential for growth within our company.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of trash and clean parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance; weed removal included.
• Check maintenance log and fix problems; perform preventive duties.
• Report problems to the manager on duty for professional help.
• Report issues that affect guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM.
• Keep storage area clean and ensure storage areas are locked before clocking out.
• Ensure adequate housekeeping supplies and linens on each floor.
• Verify exterior lights are functioning; report and fix safety hazards.
• Maintain inventory in stockroom and alert GM if orders are needed.
• Follow and complete guest room inspection checklists for each room.
• Clean HVAC filters, windows, and doors; other duties as assigned.

Education

High school Diploma/GED

Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education/experience in production maintenance

AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean andmaintain the pool area and exercise room
• Keeps grounds clear of visible trash and cleans the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, & entrance thoroughly, including weed removal
• Check the maintenance log in the front office & fixes any problems
• Work on any preventive duties
• Report any problem that cannot be easily fixed to the manager on duty so that professional help can be contacted
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM
• Keep the storage area clean everyday and lock all storage areas before clocking out
• Ensure that there are enough housekeeping supplies on each floorandthere are enough linens & supplies in stock
• Verify that all exterior lights are working properly
• Report & fixes any safety hazards throughout the hotel
• Ensures that the stock room has sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks & brings it to the attention of the GM if any supply needs to be ordered
• Follow & fill out the guest room inspection checklist on each room
• Cleansequipment. the filters on all HVAC units, and windows and doors
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Highschool Diploma/GED required
• Hospitality experience preferred
