Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated maintenance/housekeeping assistant to keep pool areas, lobbies, and exterior spaces clean and safe in Gatlinburg. The role supports daily operations, checks logs, and ensures supplies are stocked across floors.

Ideal candidates are motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independent work, with hospitality experience preferred. This on-site position offers growth within a service-centered hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance education/experience preferred.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of trash and clean parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrances.
• Check maintenance log in the front office and fix problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties.
• Report problems to the manager if not easily fixed.
• Report issues that affect guest satisfaction to departments and GM.
• Keep storage area clean and secure storage before clocking out.
• Ensure adequate housekeeping supplies and linens on each floor.
• Verify exterior lights are working and safe.
• Report and fix safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Maintain inventory in stock room for at least two weeks and notify GM if supplies need ordering.
• Follow and complete guest room inspection checklists on each room.
• Clean equipment, HVAC filters, windows and doors.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Highschool Diploma/GED required

Hospitality experience preferred
