Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the Holiday Inn Express I-94 Fargo, ND to help ensure safe, efficient operations across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance and assist with seasonal tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• One year of related hotel maintenance experience
• Experience with an IHG property is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hotel rooms, equipment, fixtures, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Respond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requests with professionalism and urgency.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, or pool maintenance as needed.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at all times, modeling and adhering to the Guest Service Standards.
• Ensure compliance with all company, state, local and federal policies/guidelines pertaining to maintenance.
