Job summary

Holiday Inn Express I-94 Fargo, ND is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to ensure safe, efficient, and well‑maintained hotel facilities, performing routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. You will respond to guest requests with professionalism and collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and about one year of hotel maintenance experience; strong communication and basic math skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• One year of related hotel maintenance experience.
• Experience with an IHG property is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hotel rooms, equipment, fixtures, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure tools and work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, or pool maintenance.
