Job summary

TPG Hotels & Resorts seeks a Chief Engineer in Wilmington, NC to oversee maintenance of all hotel systems, ensure safety, and manage a maintenance team to keep the property in top condition.

You will plan preventive maintenance, manage budgets, coordinate renovations, ensure regulatory compliance, and respond promptly to guest maintenance requests, delivering reliable service and an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Budgeting and cost control expertise.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a preventive maintenance program for all hotel systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural elements.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance staff.
• Budget development and cost control for the maintenance department.
• Oversee safety inspections, audits, and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate renovations and projects with architects, contractors, and suppliers.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
