Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in engineering/maintenance leadership in a hotel or similar facility.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and building systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate engineering staff.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all areas and systems.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and life safety systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
• Coordinate repairs with outside contractors and vendors.
• Monitor expenses and assist in budgeting for the department.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.
• Perform routine inspections of rooms and public spaces.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Participate in capital planning and equipment refresh decisions.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
