Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of hotel engineering experience.
• Mechanical systems and basic electrical/plumbing skills.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
• Interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented and responsive to direction.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible shift including day, night, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with guests and staff.
• Complete work orders daily or report to Director for rescheduling.
• Comply with hotel processes for maintenance, installation, or repair.
• Perform painting, spackling, light plumbing and light electrical.
• Use ladders and access elevated areas.
• Work on rooftop areas, chillers, water towers, etc.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain boiler logs and fire safety procedures.
• Record readings and complete engineering reports.
• Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, painters, and contractors.
• Follow fire safety director procedures in emergencies.
• Respond to hotel job requests promptly.
