Job summary

Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa in Honolulu, HI is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of all hotel systems. You will support the Engineering Manager in safety, downtime reduction, and delivering a superior guest experience.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with departments, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of engineering or maintenance experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, engineering standards, and maintenance practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the engineering and maintenance team.
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect hotel facilities regularly to identify repair needs and safety issues.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards.
• Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, front office, etc.) for maintenance needs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and energy management initiatives.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and reports.
• Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.
