Job summary

DoubleTree Colorado Springs seeks an experienced hotel engineering supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations, oversee repair teams, and ensure safe operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems.

You will coordinate preventative maintenance programs, handle guest service requests, and enforce safety and brand standards while managing vendor coordination and work orders. The role requires strong problem solving and clear communication, with weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on facility maintenance or lead technician work, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Good problem-solving abilities, basic computer proficiency for work-order tracking, and clear communication skills.

The hotel engineering supervisor manages daily maintenance operations, oversees repair teams, and ensures all building, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently. They coordinate preventative maintenance programs, handle guest service requests, and enforce safety and brand compliance standards.

Team Leadership: Assign daily work orders, schedule staff shifts, and train maintenance technicians.

Facility Maintenance: Oversee repairs for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment.

Preventative Programs: Run routine checks on life safety systems, emergency generators, and pool equipment. You can review standard protocols via Marriott Careers.

Inspections: Audit guest rooms, public zones, and back-of-house facilities to catch defects early.

Vendor Coordination: Supervise third-party contractors and manage spare parts inventory.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on facility maintenance or lead technician work, ideally within hospitality.

Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and life-safety systems.

Skills: Good problem-solving abilities, basic computer proficiency for work-order tracking, and clear communication skills.

Compensation

$20 - $20.50 hourly
