Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts seeks a Chief Engineer to supervise preventive maintenance and life safety systems across the hotel, ensuring compliance with corporate and brand standards. You will manage capital projects, supervise engineering staff, and maintain the physical plant, FF&E, and grounds.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience in hotel maintenance, with HVAC/electrical/plumbing skills, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling or military training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive maintenance of the hotel property systems (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety).
• Monitor life safety systems and utilities and administer the department per standards.
• Interviews, trains and manages engineering staff to ensure productivity and safety.
• Manage capital projects and PM programs within budget.
• Maintain accurate records and filing systems to support budgets and inspections.
