Job summary

Peachtree Group seeks a Chief Engineer to manage hotel engineering operations, safety, and budget compliance. You will supervise staff, enforce SOPs, and coordinate maintenance of property, equipment, and systems in support of safe, profitable hotel operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, vendor contracts, energy conservation, and adherence to ADA requirements, with emphasis on rapid, courteous handling of maintenance requests and alarms reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising engineering staff in a hospitality setting.
• Budget management and cost control experience for a department.
• Knowledge of safety, life safety, and ADA compliance requirements.
• Ability to enforce SOPs, maintenance standards, and loss prevention procedures.
• Strong organizational skills in scheduling, inventory, and vendor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train engineering staff in SOPs and Loss Prevention standards.
• Adhere to the annual department budget.
• Post and monitor staff schedules and overtime.
• Develop plans to maintain property, equipment, and assets.
• Ensure life safety equipment is inspected, tested, and certified.
• Handle room maintenance requests promptly and courteously.
• React to alarms and determine emergencies; inform front desk and act as needed.
• Participate in energy conservation programs.
