Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer for TownePlace Suites Springfield. You will oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel’s engineering division and step in for the Director when needed.

The role requires hands-on management of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance, with emphasis on safety, ADA compliance, and energy conservation. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and assets in safe repair.
• Ensure hotel complies with local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in customer service and SOPs.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules.
• Develop and adhere to annual department budget and financial forecasts.
