Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer for Residence Inn Las Vegas to oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering division and act in the absence of the Director. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and hands-on maintenance oversight.

You will manage maintenance plans, budgeting, energy conservation, and regulatory compliance while supervising Engineering staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences and asset protection.

Qualifications

• Progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field or a 2-year college degree with management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer’s license may be required by local code.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property, equipment, grounds and assets in safe repair.
• Ensure hotel complies with local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in customer service and safety procedures.
• Develop and adhere to annual departmental budget and forecasts.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and energy conservation measures.
