Job summary

Highgate Hotels’ Residence Inn Las Vegas seeks an Engineer Manager to lead the engineering division’s day-to-day operations and, in the Director’s absence, manage administrative, financial, and operating aspects of hotel engineering.

The role requires developing maintenance plans, budgeting, supervising staff, ensuring ADA and safety compliance, and driving energy conservation while safeguarding asset value and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field (3+ years; or 2-year college degree + 1 year of related management experience).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer's license if required by local code.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and assets in safe repair.
• Ensure the hotel complies with local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in customer service and procedures.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules and adhere to budget.
• Assist in developing financial forecasts and participate in profit/loss reviews.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment.
• Ensure life safety equipment is inspected and compliant with Highgate standards.
• Participate in energy conservation programs and safety committees.
