Job summary

JL Hospitality Management is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering/Maintenance department of a hotel. The role oversees preventive maintenance, safety, and the operation of building systems, while actively participating in day-to-day maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Experience in hotel, commercial building, facilities, or property maintenance.
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operation of the Engineering/Maintenance department.
Maintain the physical condition, safety, and appearance of the hotel and systems.
Respond to maintenance work orders and guest requests with urgency and care.
Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program for guestrooms and equipment.
Manage vendor relationships and annual department budgets and expenses.
Assist with emergency planning and hotel safety procedures.
