Job summary

Pier House in Northern Kentucky is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to ensure the property stays in top operating condition and meets all standards for the Engineering Department. You will lead walk-throughs, manage preventive maintenance for rooms and public areas, and work with the General Manager to deliver a great guest arrival experience.

Strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building construction experience are required.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• State certification or licensure where required; vocational training or assoc. degree preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams and blueprints; operate test equipment and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Make sure the hotel is in great working order and meets all operational standards for the Engineering Department.
• Conduct walk-throughs and assess maintenance and operation of the hotel structure, systems and equipment.
• Manage Preventive Maintenance for Rooms and Public Areas and keep records updated.
• Collaborate with hotel management and General Manager.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach and counsel associates, including managers.
• Ensure grounds are maintained to provide a great arrival experience.
• Implement safety policies and procedures per OSHA HazCom and safe lifting guidelines.
