Job summary

Ivy Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer for Springhill Suites Indianapolis Fishers to oversee maintenance, safety, and operations of the hotel. You will lead the maintenance team, manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventive programs, ensuring guest satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, coordinating with contractors, reporting to General Manager, and driving a culture of safety and excellence in service.

Qualifications

• Education: minimum of a 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.
• Must understand OSHA regulations and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance department, ensuring hotel operations and systems function optimally.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all hotel systems.
• Supervise external contractors to ensure work is on budget and to standard.
• Manage expenses and lead, train, and evaluate the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest service delivery.
