Job summary

Hilton St. Charles in New Orleans’ Garden District is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee routine and preventive maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and building systems.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete work orders, and support property upkeep to ensure guest satisfaction. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, HVAC/electrical/plumbing training preferred, and experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing or related trades training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Complete work orders, PM tasks, and repair logs in the system.
• Assist with painting, carpentry, caulking, and other cosmetic repairs.
• Inspect guest rooms for proper functionality of lights, outlets, AC units, fixtures and appliances.
