Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter/CBD seeks a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s Engineering and Maintenance TEAM, overseeing the safety, maintenance, and operation of buildings, systems, and guest areas to ensure a comfortable and safe stay for guests and associates.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of Engineering or Maintenance Management experience in luxury or full‑service hotel environments.
• Previous hotel engineering experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree or technical/trade school experience preferred.
• Must possess any government‑required licenses, certificates, or permits applicable to the position.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and hotel equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support the hotel Engineering and Maintenance TEAM.
• Oversee daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces, building systems, and grounds.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure preventative maintenance tasks and servicing are completed on schedule.
• Coordinate and oversee repairs, maintenance projects, renovations, and property improvements.
• Prioritize maintenance requests and ensure issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify safety, maintenance, and repair needs.
