Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a proactive Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team, ensuring safety, efficiency and high-quality maintenance across the property. You will oversee daily operations, preventive maintenance, and training to uphold the hotel’s standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with department heads, and adherence to OSHA and fire/life safety requirements to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Competenze

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in hospitality facilities.
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance systems: Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Life Safety.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise and direct daily operations of the engineering team to ensure optimal performance
• Assign work orders and monitor completion for accuracy and quality
• Address maintenance related guest concerns in collaboration with department heads
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to meet safety and operational standards
• Train, coach, and evaluate engineering staff to enhance skills and performance
• Ensure compliance with ADA requirements and maintain inspection checklists
• Monitor energy consumption and implement strategies to optimize efficiency
• Manage equipment and supply inventory to support daily operations
• Conduct periodic inspections of property assets to ensure maintenance meets standards
• Administer key control, tool control, and security-related maintenance procedures
• Coordinate with Security to maintain locking systems and sensitive equipment
• Attend departmental and hotel-wide meetings to align with operational goals
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and hotel policies
• Collaborate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications Include :

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality environment. Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven hands-on experience with maintenance systems, including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, and Life Safety operating systems
• Experience in training, coaching, and evaluating employee performance
• Familiarity with HotSoS or other computerized maintenance management systems
• Prior experience with energy monitoring programs and ADA compliance assessments
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
• Proven ability to read and interpret architectural or blueprint drawings
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure
