Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Miami to manage daily operations, preventative maintenance, and repairs across hotel and residence facilities. The role involves leading a team, coordinating work orders, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires hands‑on troubleshooting and strong knowledge of building systems. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in hotel engineering, possess supervisory experience, and are proficient in CMMS and blueprint

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive engineering, facilities, or maintenance experience in hotel/resort environments.
• Supervisory or lead technician experience with maintenance personnel.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life‑safety systems, and elevators.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life-safety).
• Coordinate, assign, and monitor work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA, and environmental standards.
