Landmark Hotel Group's Comfort Inn On The Ocean in Kill Devil Hills, NC is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee daily maintenance, lead a hands-on team, and drive guest satisfaction through reliable operations.

You will supervise repairs, manage materials, and ensure safety and quality while supporting budgeting and expense control. This role offers a strong growth path within a recognized regional hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in a hotel or commercial setting.
• Journeyman experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC trade.
• Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments from Chief Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
• Active management in the supervision of all work and repairs being performed.
• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
• Complete responsibility for maintaining the hotel's appearance, equipment and systems. This is a hands on position that requires active, vigorous leadership.
• Focus on quality, service standards, and the company mission statement is of paramount importance.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance to guest rooms and public area work orders.
• Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces according to hotel requirements.
