Job summary

Andaz Napa, part of Hyatt Hotels, seeks a Director of Engineering to oversee maintenance operations and facility management for the Napa property. You will work with senior leadership and report to the General Manager, guiding safety, vendor relations, and capital projects.

Ideal candidate has extensive hotel/facility management experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. The position is full-time, on-site with Hyatt’s worldwide opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive hotel or building management experience
• Opening hotels experience preferred
• Strong leadership and customer service orientation
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors and contractors
• Plan and direct maintenance of structures, facilities and systems
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with corporate maintenance
• Train staff on safety procedures and maintain safety inspections
