Job summary

Spire Hospitality, LLC is seeking a Chief Engineer at the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter to oversee building operations and upkeep, ensuring high standards of functionality and guest experience.

The position requires a high school diploma with an apprenticeship or equivalent training, three years of hotel maintenance experience, and at least one year as head or assistant chief engineer; a licensed Electrician or similar credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with apprenticeship or industry training.
• Three years’ experience performing building maintenance in a hotel or related industry.
• One year of experience as a head or assistant chief engineer.
• Must have licenses/permits as required by law or company regulations (electrician license).
• Exempt full-time position requiring flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the property’s condition is maintained to high standards of functionality and guest appeal.
• Manages rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects for the property.
• Maintains energy management and preventative maintenance programs.
• Conducts training for other operating departments on equipment and energy use.
• Manages routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, back of house spaces and grounds.
• Assigns and verifies completion of repairs, replacements, and renovations in guest areas and back-office spaces.
