Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the upkeep and operational efficiency of our facilities. This hands-on role involves general maintenance, preventative tasks, and repairs across building systems to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate has at least six months in maintenance, familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least six months of experience in a maintenance, facilities, or similar role.
• Preferred experience in construction or facility maintenance, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry fundamentals.
• Ability to solve practical problems independently and make sound decisions in varied situations.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, and minor masonry work.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and monitor system performance.
• Identify and address building safety concerns in a timely and effective manner.
• Support maintenance programs by completing daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
• Assist leadership with identifying, ordering, and managing maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and order general supplies for the country club as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours situations when required.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and management.
• Work with attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through while maintaining a professional and cooperative attitude.
• Adapt to changing priorities and maintain schedule flexibility to meet operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to respond quickly to both routine and urgent maintenance needs.

What You Do:
