Job summary

Arlo Hotels in New York, NY is seeking a dynamic Dishwasher/Porter to join our kitchen team. You’ll help maintain cleanliness and sanitation, support a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff, and keep the dish area running smoothly.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, storing equipment neatly, moving supplies, cleaning floors, and coordinating with the Prep team to cover peak periods. Must have 2+ years’ dishwasher/porter experience, basic English, and the ability to lift 50 lbs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dishwasher/porter experience.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Store clean dishware, glassware, and utensils neatly and in proper locations.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas, by hand or using a hand cart.
• Clean garbage cans with water and approved cleaning agents.
• Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and orderly.
• Coordinate with the Prep team to cover gaps and prevent backlogs.
• Report equipment issues (dish machine, drains, etc.) to the Sous Chef immediately.
