Dishwashers/Porters play an essential role inmaintainingthe cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the restaurant, supporting a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

This role ensures every item used in the kitchen is cleaned to standard, and partners with the Prepteamso cleaning coverage holds up during peak volume.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand
• Put away all dishware, glassware, plastic containers, pots, and pans clean, dry, and grease-free,neatly organized
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or hand truck
• Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS-approved cleaning supplies
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean, orderly condition
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
• Sort and remove trash todesignatedpickup areas
• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
• Maintains clean, dry, and sanitary kitchen floors and work areasin accordance withfood safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Keep paper towels and soap stocked at every handwashing sink in the kitchen
• Weekly deep clean of both ice machines, plus daily spot cleaning
• Communicate proactively with the Prep team when the dish pit is backed up so coverage can be adjusted before it affects service
• Flag any equipment issue (dish machine, drains, etc.) to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef immediately, not atendof shift.

RESPONSIBILITIESAND AUTHORITIES:

• Provides courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and responds appropriately to guest questions or requests.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, timekeeping, uniform, meal and rest period, and workplace conduct requirements.
• Coverage: Communicates early when volume is outpacingcapacityso the Sous Chef can pull Prep support before it becomes a backlog.
• Maintains a professional demeanor and contributes to a clean, organized kitchen environment that supports overall operations and the guest experience.
• Hygiene & Presentation: Maintains appropriate personal hygiene and professional appearance and follows all food safety, sanitation, uniform, and grooming standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 2+ years of experience as a dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel
• Must have a basic understanding of English
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to stay on your feet for 8+ hours

KNOWLEDGE

• Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures

Salary: $17 /hr - $18 /hr
