Historic Tours of America is hiring a Hotel Concierge in Savannah to greet guests, promote our tours, and provide top-tier guest service in the hotel lobby. The role emphasizes sales ability, product knowledge, and a welcoming attitude to help guests enjoy Savannah’s historic offerings.

You will be self-motivated, friendly, and proactive, with training and ongoing education on our tours, attractions, restaurants, and local experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales/commission-based roles and customer service background required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and friendly demeanor required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and provide prompt service.
• Guide guests to the best offerings based on their interests.
• Be knowledgeable about tours and pricing; present options clearly.
• Utilize sales skills including pitching, cross-selling, and closing deals.
• Be computer literate with basic software knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Present tour costs using the company pricing system.

Job Summary

Our Hotel Concierges are stationed in a hotel lobby and work seamlessly with the front desk, providing excellent customer service to guests. An ideal concierge must have a passion for helping people and making their vacation experience a memorable one. A sincere love of history and the culture of our city is essential. Effectively sell the appropriate tour package to the guest based on the knowledge of our products, pricing and the content of all ticket packages to meet your sales goals.

The perfect candidate for this position is self-motivated, outgoing, friendly and always ready to greet guests and welcome them to Savannah.

• Competitive pay: Earn $15 per hour plus uncapped commission!

Essential Functions

• Greet everyone you meet with a smile and prompt service. Extend courtesy, friendliness, and hospitality.
• Give every guest the ultimate compliment of recognition and attention. Guide them to the best offerings based on their interest during their time in your city.
• Be knowledgeable and passionate about our products and the most popular things to do at each trolley stop.
• Utilize exceptional sales skills including a strong pitch, prospecting, handling objections, cross-selling, upselling, and closing the deal.
• Be computer literate and keyboard/mouse proficient with a working knowledge of and ability to use various types of computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Present the cost of tours and attractions based on the company's pricing system.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Accurately handle transactions and receipts from sales, secure and maintain ticket inventory and company assets
• Ability to work independently within the scope of established rules and regulations to satisfy the needs of our guests
• Ability to work well with all people while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to communicate with fellow employees and the general public
• Flexibility to work 3-4 days/week from 8am – 5:30pm, including weekends and holidays
