Job summary

LBA Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer for the Homewood Suites Winston Salem to oversee maintenance, safety, and building systems, ensuring guest comfort and operational reliability. You will lead maintenance staff, manage preventative programs, and coordinate repairs, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, while maintaining logs and budget.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of maintenance engineer/technician experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• HVAC and pool certifications preferred.
• Strong troubleshoot­ing, leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience safely using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, supervise, and develop maintenance staff.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems.
• Manage and document the preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct property inspections for safety and improvement needs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and delegate repairs as needed.
• Maintain hotel interiors, exteriors, equipment, and grounds.
• Ensure maintenance tools and supplies are available and maintained.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, and documentation.
• Manage maintenance within budget while upholding standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
