Job summary

Residence Inn Salt Lake City Murray is seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer to lead our maintenance team and protect the guest experience across the property. This leadership role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and operational excellence within a growing hospitality brand.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, manage in-house projects, supervise contractors, and ensure safety and quality across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pool systems where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hotel or building maintenance
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage projects from inception to completion
• Supervisory experience in maintenance teams
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems
• Experience operating a commercial pool (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment, guest rooms, and property infrastructure
• Conduct minor repairs on MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing)
• Serve as project manager for in-house projects: proposals, schedules, budgets, quality control
• Secure and supervise outside contractors for complex repairs, ensuring safety and quality
• Preserve exterior appearance: landscaping, parking areas, and pool/spa maintenance (if applicable)
