Residence Inn Downtown Seattle Lake Union is seeking an Assistant Chief of Maintenance to lead the maintenance team, manage daily operations, and ensure safe, comfortable guest experiences. The role requires supervising staff, coordinating repairs, and maintaining hotel standards with a focus on reliability and guest satisfaction.

The position emphasizes leadership, hands-on maintenance, and strong communication to support hotel operations and guest loyalty.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance and supervisory experience in hotel or property management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays and respond after hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel and recognize maintenance staff.
• Oversee daily operations, budgeting, and scheduling within the department.
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance across hotel areas.
• Troubleshoot devices such as key card systems and network equipment.
• Oversee safety programs and key control throughout the hotel.
• Greet and assist guests with requests and build guest loyalty.
• Collaborate with all departments to achieve hotel goals.
