Job summary

Candidates should have vocational training or an associate’s degree, read blueprints, and display strong communication. Flexible schedules are required, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building construction.
• Vocational training, associate's degree or certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more areas.
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams and blueprints; read and understand test equipment and measuring devices.
• Strong business communication skills (verbal and written).
• Flexible to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Team-oriented with guest-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hotel is in great working order and meets operational standards.
• Conduct walk-throughs and assess maintenance of hotel structure, systems, and equipment.
• Manage preventive maintenance for Rooms and Public Areas and keep records.
• Collaborate with hotel management and General Manager.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach and counsel associates.
• Maintain grounds to provide a great arrival experience.
• Implement safety and emergency policies and procedures.
