The Chief Engineer is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa in the Hilton Head Island, South Carolina area. This role oversees all engineering, maintenance, and life safety operations for the resort, including guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and grounds. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing preventive maintenance programs, managing repairs, coordinating vendor and contractor work, and ensuring all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pools, and spa facilities) operate safely and efficiently. The Chief Engineer leads and schedules the engineering team, manages department budgets, monitors energy usage, and ensures compliance with local, state, brand, and safety regulations. This role works closely with operations, housekeeping, spa, and events teams to minimize downtime, support guest satisfaction, and maintain the resort’s high standards of appearance and functionality.
