Doubletree by Hilton Fayetteville in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Hotel Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance team. You will oversee all building systems, supervise technicians, and manage budgets and vendor bids to protect assets and guest comfort.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance programs, code compliance, and ensuring life safety regulations are met. Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in hotel facilities maintenance with supervisory experience, plus relevant HVAC

Qualificações

• 2 to 5+ years of hotel or facilities maintenance experience, often with supervisory background.
• Education: high school diploma or trade school; technical degrees preferred for larger full-service hotels.
• Certifications: EPA Universal refrigerant licenses and HVAC certifications.

The hotel chief engineer leads the property's engineering and maintenance department, managing all physical plant operations, building systems, and repair teams to ensure guest comfort and asset protection.

Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Oversee repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, pools, and life safety/fire alarm systems.

Preventative Maintenance: Create and manage scheduled maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical plants.

Leadership & Staffing: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance technicians and engineering staff.

Budget & Vendors: Manage departmental operating budgets, capital improvement projects, and third-party contractor bids.

Code Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, OSHA, and life safety regulations.

Experience: Typically requires 2 to 5+ years of hotel or facilities maintenance experience, often with prior supervisory background.

Education: High school diploma or trade school coursework is standard; technical degrees in mechanical or electrical fields are preferred for larger full-service hotels. [5, 8, 9]

Certifications: Often requires or prefers EPA Universal refrigerant licenses, HVAC certifications
