Job summary

ASH Hotels, opening Fall 2026 on Venice Beach, seeks a Cafe and Lobby Manager to run the cafe and bar operations across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and peak periods. You will lead front-of-house staff, manage costs, schedules, and inventory while upholding the hotel’s guest-focused standards.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, a warm hospitality approach, and the discipline to balance service with P&L awareness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of food & beverage management experience in a full-service cafe, restaurant, or hotel setting.
• Experience overseeing multiple dayparts (breakfast through dinner) and bar operations.
• Food handler's certification and responsible alcohol service certification (e.g., Food Handlers, TIPS, ServSafe) required or ability to obtain promptly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable with guests and staff.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across all meal periods and bar service, ensuring high-quality service.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise cafe staff including kitchen supervisors, servers, bartenders, baristas, hosts, and support staff.
• Ensure F&B certifications and compliance requirements are met for all staff.
• Maintain Cal/OSHA safety standards and complete required training.
• Partner with the kitchen on menu development and daily specials aligned with the brand.
• Manage the bar program, wine/beer selection, and responsible service compliance.
• Oversee cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily reporting.
